What is delta 8 THC?

Delta 8 THC is an analogue of THC that has antiemetic, anxiolytic, appetite-stimulating, analgesic, and neuroprotective properties.

In simpler terms, delta 8 THC induces appetite and negates nausea. It also helps produce acetylcholine which is correlated to cognitive brain function, improved sleep, and lower anxiety levels.

It offers powerful pain relief and contains anti-inflammatory properties much like delta 9 THC. Scientific studies have shown great promise in a variety of challenging medical areas but until now, delta 8 THC was not available in significant, reliable quantities.

What are cannabinoids?

Cannabinoids are the unique compounds native to plants in the cannabis family such as marijuana and hemp. Delta 9 THC and CBD are two of the most widely known cannabinoids of the more than 150 that have been identified. We go into more detail about this here.

How do cannabinoids work?

The human body has a unique cannabinoid receptor system. There are two main types of cannabinoid receptors that bind with cannabinoids introduced into the body, CB1 and CB2. These receptors are somewhat like keyholes, while the cannabinoids are like the keys that only work inside the right holes. Delta 9 THC bonds only to the CB1 receptor. CBD bonds only to the CB2 receptor. Delta 8 THC bonds to both.

What is the difference between THC and CBD?

THC is what creates the “high” from marijuana. This explains why marijuana is such a highly regulated and federally controlled substance. The most commonly accessible THC is delta 9.

Alternatively, delta 8 THC has historically been found in much smaller quantities, making it significantly harder to manufacture and propagate.

Our delta 8 THC is made by converting 99.9% pure CBD isolate through a patent-pending process, allowing us to bring a variety of health benefits to you.

Why is the distinction between CBD and THC important?

Delta 8 THC and Delta 9 THC have a nearly identical molecular structure. The keyword is nearly.

Our Delta 8 THC has a double bond in the 8th position of the molecule while delta 9 has a double bond in the 9th position.

This small but important molecular difference allows Delta 8 to bind to both CB1 and CB2 receptors. This makes delta 8 a better solution to deliver therapeutic benefits as it allows engagement with both the THC and CBD receptors of the patient.

What will I feel when I use delta 8 THC?

Still a THC, the psychoactive effect of delta 8 is a full-body experience, leaving the user clear-headed after consumption. Patients report a sense of wellness, with their body feeling at peace and their mind feeling relaxed.

What are the benefits of using delta 8 THC?

Using delta 8 THC is known to relieve nausea and vomiting while simultaneously increasing appetite, an especially important trait for chemotherapy patients.

Along those same lines, delta 8 THC has been shown to decrease the presence of cancer cells, making it an outlier among traditional delta 9 THC products.

With fewer psychoactive effects than other alternative medicines, delta 8 THC provides the user with a full-body experience where pain and discomfort are alleviated without loss of mental clarity, making it a perfect supplement for your workday.
